When it comes to reading books I am not fond of doing that. But sometimes when I see a friend reading a book I change my mood and pick up any famous book which I feel is interesting. I love to read auto biographies and biographies though it does not match my character. The books which have inspired me are:
1) Long Walk To Freedom: Nelson Mandela was one of the great moral and political leader in history. His dedication and his struggle to fight against racism shows that " One Man can Make a Difference". Another thing I liked about Nelson Mandela after reading the book is that he fought for human rights and racial equality not just for himself but for the whole society.
2) The Monk who Sold his Ferrari: There are many techniques which one can learn from this book. The author tries to inspire us to make us reach our goals and dreams. Many of these strategies are very useful and can help a person who is confused and is willing to follow the path of success and glory. The author Robin Sharma focuses that one should live life with disciplines and respect time.
3) Heavier then Heaven: This book is not an inspiration but a true story of the Rockstar who was my first favorite singer. May be I related to him in a manner that a lot of people would after reading the book. I use to admire Kurt Cobain for his music because he was in sorrow and he conveyed it through his talent of singing. Another reason was that he was just a common guy who was thrown into something bigger then him.
I haven't read any of these biographies, but they all seem really great! It's so wonderful to learn about influential people in our society. I'm extremely curious about The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, I'll probably get it from the library soon. I hope you further your love of reading!

ReplyDeleteBiographies are a great way of getting to know one specific person more. I am definitely going to read Heavier Than Heaven one day when I get the chance. I love nirvana and I'm very curious as to why Kurt Cobain committed suicide.
